Tour Itinerary
Day 1 : Ouarzazate – Tinghir – Merzouga Dunes
You will be pick up early in the morning from your hotel in Ouarzazate, direction the amazing desert dunes of Erg Chebbi.
On our way, we will drive through the little charming village of Tinghir and we will visit a local cooperative where the best Berber carpets in Morocco are produced.
We will have lunch in Tinjdad, then we will pass across the palm plantations of Touroug and the fabulous Erfoud before getting to Merzouga village.
Upon arrival, we will join a camel ride tour over the open dunes and we will appreciate the exceptional beauty of the desert sunset, before spending our first night in the authentic nomad camp between the large dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Day 2 : Guided Tour over Merzouga Dunes
You need to wake up early in the morning in order to enjoy the panoramic views and wonderful sunrise over the dunes.
You will have the chance to participate to a morning camel-trek in the open dunes of Erg Chebbi, then we will go back to the desert camp in order to meet our driver and go for a very interesting desert exploration full day-trip.
We will start by visiting the Khamila village where the descendants of the old black slaves and Gnawa come from, then we will go through the famous Merzouga lake to see the amazing biodiversity of this region and to watch several kind of birds around the lake.
After this outstanding desert experience, we will have lunch in Khamila and we will continue our journey to meet some desert tribes on the way, and if we have chance, we may be invited to drink a good cup of mint tea in the nomad caves.
We will go back later to our desert camp in Merzouga to join a pleasant dining experience with nomad music.
Day 3 : Erg Chebbi Dunes – Zagora & Draa Valley
We will enjoy one more time the beautiful sunrise in the big Sahara Desert, then we will travel through the largest valley in the desert ‘Draa Valley’, we will have lunch in Nokb village and we will keep driving till we reach Zagora where we will have dinner and spend the night in a local guest house.
Day 4 : From Zagora To Ouarzazate
We will visit Zagora early in the morning with our driver, then we will move to Agdz, where we will visit the old Berber Castle of Tamnougalt before taking our way back to Ouazazate.
