Essaouira is an extremely attractive coastal town in Morocco, a great city with an almost unique design and architecture, stunning Medina with traditional old houses, art galleries, handicraft shops and obviously, Argan oil cooperatives.

Day trips from Marrakech are available in both private and small group tours, with early departure, because you need at least 2h30 to get to Essaouira.

On your way to Essaouira, you will be amazed by the scattered villages, the small camel troops and especially the goats climbing Argan trees.

Once you arrive to Essaouira, you can explore all its wonders with a local tour guide, who will lead you through the small Medina alleys to visit some interesting museums, local markets, historic ramparts, Thuya wood workshops, Berber carpet bazaars, and if you are a fan of art works, he may take you to see one of the best-known art galleries.

After this great city tour, you will visit the little port of the town, to watch fishermen and boats coming back to shore and to enjoy some fresh fish and delicious seafood dishes in one of the port restaurants.

You will have some free time to take a rest or to drink a coffee at the edge of the beautiful beach of Essaouira, one of the most popular surf spots in Morocco.
