Casablanca

With the perfect mix of urban and rural, this tour will take you through Morocco’s bustling cities and also to the remote and tranquil southeast where we’ll explore our country’s most majestic desert sand dunes.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fez

We will pick up you from your airport or from your hotel. Your 09-days private tour of Morocco starts with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque. Next, we depart for Rabat where you can visit the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. After lunch we will head to Meknes to visit El Hdim square, Bab El Mansour (the massive gate which is the entrance to the old city) and the Jewish quarter. We’ll continue onto Fes where we will have dinner and stay overnight in a traditional riad.

Day 2 : Fez – Fez city tour

Today we will have a guided tour of Fez to discover the old medina with its famous souks, narrow cobbled streets and ancient mosques with towering green-glazed minarets. We’ll ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region.

We’ll also visit the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you’ll visit many different cooperatives and then, experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes before ending the night at your Riad.

Day 3 : Fez – Volubulis – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt

Today After breakfast at hotel, you will travel to visit the village of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun which is a place of pilgrimage for Moroccans. Afterward you will discover the ancient Roman ruins of Volubulis. Finally drive to Midelt through the Middle Atlas region. We will drive through Ifrane, the “Switzerland” of Morocco and the cedar forests of Azrou where we may see some monkeys. we’ll stop for lunch. When we reach Midelt you will Enjoy your evening at your hotel.

Day 4 : Midelt – Merzouga

After breakfast you will travel to Merzouga along the beautiful hills and mountains of the Atlas, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia.

Here you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality, afterwards, you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for more panoramic views along the way to Erfoud. Arriving at Merzouga, once there, we’ll trade in our 4×4 for camels (optional), guided by an experienced camel guide, who will help us to explore the region of Erg Chebbi. It’ll take around 90 minutes to reach the campsite, once there, we’ll enjoy a beautiful sunset over the dunes and once dark, our dinner will be served around a campfire. This night will be spent in Berber tents in the desert.

Day 5 : Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge

We’ll fetch an early start to catch the sunrise over the dunes before arriving at a local hotel to freshen up. After breakfast, we’ll head through Rissani and cross the palm-lined valleys of Tourog and Tinjdad to arrive at the Todra Gorge the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco. After lunch at the gorge, we’ll drive through the Dades valley enjoying the view of the geological feature known locally as “Monkey Toes”. We’ll stay overnight in Dades valley, including a complimentary dinner and breakfast the next morning.

Day 6 : Dades Gorge – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast we leave for the Dades Valley, crossing the Valley of Roses, famous for the cultivation of damask rose from which the essence is extracted for the production of many cosmetics. We will visit the Gorges of Dades. The journey will continue in the direction of Ouarzazate, the town where several films set in the desert were and are still being shot. We will then continue north towards Marrakech passing through the kasbah of Ait-Ben-Haddou declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, where we will make a short visit and then continue the journey through the mountains of the Grande Atlas up to the Tizi n’Tichka at an altitude of 2,260 m (the highest mountain pass in the Atlas). Free dinner.
Overnight in riad.

Day 7 : Marrakech Guided Tour

On this day we will have a guided tour to discover the multiple facets of the city. We will explore the labyrinth of the old Medina with its small streets and famous souks. We’ll also visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Marrakech.

Day 8 : Marrakech – Casablanca

In the morning, you will have some free time for yourself to explore the famous square and enjoy the street culture around the riad. In the afternoon, we’ll pick you up and make the return journey to Casablanca the economic capital of Morocco where most of the country’s foreign trade is managed. The city was built in 1906 where a 7th century Berber town once stood, destroyed by an earthquake in the second half of the 18th century. Outside the medina is the new town, La Nouvelle Ville, full of gardens and avenues, shopping centres, hotels, banks and shops… We will return back in the evening for dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 9 : Casablanca Airport

You will be picked up from your hotel at the agreed time to Casablanca airport.
